“We Are Pregnant”

“We are pregnant.”

When a couple announces they’re expecting, they don’t say, “I am pregnant.”

They say, “We are pregnant.”

We.

Because soon, they will become parents. And soon, that little life will become a child, a sibling, a grandchild, a great grandchild, a nephew, a niece, a godson, a goddaughter… and in turn, one of them will become a big brother, a big sister, an auntie, an uncle, a grandparent, a godparent. We carries the ripple of love that extends beyond the parents—it embraces the whole family.

When Maya was diagnosed with childhood cancer in April 2017, it wasn’t just Maya facing this battle. The whole family became warriors.

That’s why, throughout this journey, we often write, “WE are due to be admitted for three weeks at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) from 28th October to 18th November for CAR T-cell therapy.”

Because when a child is diagnosed with cancer, the fight is never hers alone—it’s ours, together.

On that note, here’s a moment of courage and love: Maya’s big brother, #3 Enzo, took on his #bravetheshave last Saturday, 4th October 2025, in support of Maya. Yes, Maya is one of five siblings! Enzo raised £70, with special thanks to his girlfriend’s workplace, Little Cubs Palmarsh Pre-school, for their support. We are truly grateful for their kindness and generosity.

“Siblings may drive you crazy, but at the end of the day, they are each other’s biggest cheerleaders.”

There’s still time to sponsor Enzo and show Maya the strength of our “We”….
